A roadshow of the pilot project for reconstructing part of the M10 motorway in Belarus using public private partnership principles will take place in the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London on 16 January 2019.

The M10 motorway starts in Kobrin, crosses Gomel, and ends at the Belarusian-Russian border. The roadshow in London will present technical, economic, and legal aspects of the project. Questions will be answered after the presentation. Individual meetings may be arranged for participants of the event if there is interest. The Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry will be the state partner in the public private partnership project. The private sector will be responsible for designing, reconstructing, financing, and maintenance of five sections of the M10 motorway with the total length of 85.25km. Capital expenditure is estimated at €185.8 million. Reconstruction is supposed to begin in Q4 2020. The project provides for increasing the number of traffic lanes from two to four and increasing the load per axle from 10 tonnes to 11.5 tonnes. Speed limit for cars will be raised from 90kmph to 120kmph, for trucks – from 70kmph to 100kmph.
