On January 5, two companies in the sphere of wood processing became residents of Grodnoinvest FEZ: LLC Kronospan NT and LLC  Ultra Play. Both projects will be implemented at site number 11 of the FEZ in Smorgon.

In the framework of the project of LLC  Ultra Play, it is planned to build a plant for the production of plywood, laminated plywood, veneer. The enterprise is export-oriented, more than 90% of the enterprise's products will be sold on foreign markets.

Kronospan NT LLC will build a plant for the production of MDF / HDF, laminate flooring, painted HDF and other wood products. More than 70% of the enterprise's products will be exported. The main markets are Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.

About 5 years ago, Kronospan Holding concluded an investment agreement with the government of Belarus to implement major projects. The Austrian company has already established production facilities in Smorgon and Mogilev.

Moreover, on January 4 the company with Chinese capital was registered in Grodnoinvest FEZ for the first time. The enterprise will build a transport and logistics center in Grodno region on the border with Poland.

It is planned to build a modern logistics complex to provide a full range of transport and logistics services. The project will increase the volume of traffic in the direction of East-West-East, which will positively affect the transit attractiveness of Grodno region and will contribute to the development of a strategic partnership within the framework of the One-Belt-One-Road Initiative.

LLC  SIGICOP Logistic Company – Grodno was established by Sigikop, Chinese construction and investment corporation of Gansu Province.
