The Director of the National Investment and Privatisation Agency Dmitriy Klevzhits has presented investment opportunities in of Belarus in the 23rd Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair today. Within one of the largest fairs which has been visited by over 1.8 million persons from 80 countries since 1990, the forum Business Week of Belarus has been organised this year.
The business circles and leaders of the PRC were presented the investment climate of Belarus, advantages of our country, most promising sectors for foreign direct investments as well as a number of certain investment projects.
In particular, potential investors were offered to consider the possibility to construct a factory for assembly of LCD displays (investment required is 3.2 billion US dollars), a complex to produce nitrogen fertilisers (1.1 billion US dollars), a multifunctional entertainment centre in Logoisk District (740 million US dollars), a transportation and logistics centre in Gomel (314 million US dollars), a fast-speed tram line Minsk-Logoisk (190 million US dollars) etc.
Harbin fair is held annually with the support of the Chinese government, local authorities, and a number of foreign organisations. Within this event Dmitriy Klevzhits held brief negotiations with the secretary general of the government of Heilongjiang province Li Haitao, deputy chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhang Wei, other official persons and representatives of Chinese business circles.
