Gansu Province of the People's Republic of China intends to examine in detail the conditions of doing business in Grodno free economic zone “Grodnoinvest”, as well as an investment climate and preferences that free economic zone provides to its residents.
We have a particular interest in the field of logistics, agriculture and processing. But in general, the business circles of the Province have a strong attractiveness in deepening and expanding business ties with the Grodno region. Representatives of a growing number of companies are going to come here to establish and develop contacts, "- said Deputy Head of the Department of Commerce of Gansu Province Zhang Sheehan during his visit to the exhibition fair “Euro region Neman”.
Today the two companies from Gansu have been carrying out their activities in Belarus within the framework of the China-Belarus industrial park. In the future, it is planned to expand the presence of Chinese companies in the Belarusian FEZ.
“Grodnoinvest” and the Department of Commerce of Gansu have signed an agreement on economic, investment and information cooperation.
“We are ready to assist the Chinese businessmen in the implementation of their intentions and we see the Chinese partners’ eagerness, — said the Head of the administration of FEZ "Grodnoinvest" Sergey Tkachenko. — We can cooperate in the areas of chemical products, metal processing, production of equipment and other, the range of potential projects is really wide. We are highly interested in the Chinese investors to create as joint and foreign enterprises. In turn, we are ready to prepare the necessary areas with a developed infrastructure.”
During the negotiations with the administration of FEZ the Chinese partners discuss their possible participation in investment projects on the construction of a large logistics center in Grodno near the airport. Moreover the Chinese hold an interest in building a tourist center on the Neman and invest in the construction of hotels.
Also assistance is planned to be provide for the Chinese investors in the creation of the Chinese Medical Centre in Grodno. City government is going to look for a suitable building or a site for the construction.
An exposition of the Chinese enterprises and organizations was presented in a separate unit, many of them brought their products, and some companies presented their products and services through a stand exhibition.
“This forum is regarded as a way for the presentation of our products and services, as well as a wonderful chance to explore Grodno, and an opportunity to establish contacts with its other participants,” — said Zhan Sheehan.
For the first time Chinese manufacturers took part in the event last year. At this time the delegation of 35 representatives, mainly including leaders of enterprises, which deal with electronics production, building materials, manufacturing of agricultural products, has visited Grodno.
Gansu Province is located in the central part of the People's Republic of China, has a population of about 26 million people. Petrochemical industry, hydro and wind power is developed in the Province, nonferrous metallurgy and agricultural engineering have been actively developing. The ancient Silk Road runs to Gansu Province with a total length of over 1,600 kilometers.
