In the year of Brest 1000-anniversary it’s planned to open a hotel of international network Hilton in the town-on-the-Bug. Appropriate agreement was signed between the corporation and Belarusian real estate developer.
Hilton Worldwide signed a franchise agreement with company Demarsh on the building of a hotel Hampton by Hilton in Brest. Dmitry Dulko’s Demarsh is a rather large Brest developer. The company built some block of flats, business-centers and units of retail and service.
Hampton by Hilton will be located in one of the main streets in Brest – Varshavskoye Shosse – which is near the Brest fortress. The distance from the hotel to the center is 1.5 km, 4 km far from the station, 14 km far from Brest international airport. It’s expected that the hotel accommodates the guests in 120 rooms. Besides, 3 conference rooms, a coffee-room, a fitness center and an above ground car park will be available for the guests.
The construction of the hotel started in September 2016. Supposed commissioning of the object is February 2019 exactly to the 1000-anniversary of Brest, as it’s said on the Demarsh website.

The object in Brest will be the third Hilton’s object in Belarus. The two hotels of the international network have been previously opened in Minsk – Hampton by Hilton and Double Tree by Hilton.
Vladimir Ilychov, a senior development director of Hilton Worldwide in Russia and CIS told that the company considers possible growing points not only in the Belarusian capital but also in other Belarusian cities. “Brest is an outpost at the boundary of the European Union and CIS. It’s enough developed industrial center with an interesting history where more than 330 thousand peoples live. But still this is a center with no developed accommodation infrastructure, which needs hotels of international level. These facts are critical to us, so that we have chosen Brest,” said Ilychov.
Hilton Worldwide has found a “good local partner”. Negotiations with Demarsh were conducted from the beginning of 2016. The other international networks also considered the possibility to come to Brest, but the choice laid Hilton.

Why Hampton was chosen? “As the research shows the market has a need for hotels of such a format and not only for business people but also for tourists. Although it is a three star hotel but the rooms are enough spacious and comfortable,” noticed the Hilton representative.
Vladimir Ilychov hopes that the signing by Minsk of a 5 day visa free regime for citizens of 80 countries who come to the capital by the aircraft “will have a positive effect on the tourism development in Belarus”. I think that 5 days it’s enough to negotiate and explore the main places of interest. During 5 days you can’t see the whole country, but it’s the reason to come one more time,” said the expert.
Brest still can’t be called a full air hub. Ilychov doesn’t consider this as a problem. “It is not really so far from Minsk to Brest. In Moscow or London you can waste the same time in a traffic jam to reach the suburbs. A great modern highway stretches from Minsk to Brest. I used it numerous times. There is an airport in Brest. It’s probably not so large, but with the further city and business development the aviation will also develop,” said Ilychov.
Hilton Worldwide is one of the largest hospitality corporations with more than 4 820 hotels and resorts, which are located in 100 cities over the world.
