OSCE PA Special Representative for Eastern Europe, Kent Harstedt, visited the High Technology Park and met with Deputy Director of the HTP Administration, Alexander Martinkevich.

The parties discussed the development of the digital economy in Belarus and Europe. Mr. Harstedt heard about the high-profile projects of Belarusian developers and stressed that the tax regime in HTP and new legal norms from the world practice is a good message for investors. At the meeting, the participants talked about the introduction of the blockchain and crypto-currency.

"We had a very interesting discussion, during which we exchanged views. What is connected with block chain, crypto-currencies, ICO is a daily changing legal environment, new solutions. Today's meeting was very useful in this respect, because we heard what is happening in Europe, and told what is happening here, "said the Deputy Director of the HTP administration.

Let us remind you that on December 21, 2017, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 8 "On the Development of the Digital Economy". The document contains serious innovations that make the Park of High Technologies the most attractive place in the region for high-tech companies and IT professionals. He also creates legal conditions for the development of blockchain projects and the turnover of crypto-currencies.
