The size of the Belarusian-Russian venture capital fund will be at least $ 20 million, according to Director of the Belarusian Innovation Fund Dmitri Kalinin.
“A contract under which the joint Belarusian-Russian venture capital fund will be created has been already developed. It is desirable that the contract will be signed next month,” said Dmitry Kalinin.

The structure is created on a parity basis: 50% of the project will be supervised and funded by the Belarusian side, 50% — by Russia.
Belarus and Russia have already agreed on the priority areas for cooperation while creating the fund — it is primarily energy, as well as instrumentation, biotechnology, security, microelectronics, mechanical engineering. The projects that meet a number of requirements will be able to receive funding.
Conceptual condition is that the projects should link economic entities of Belarus and Russia, and suggest joint implementation. First of all, emphasis is placed on Belarusian technologies, we are dedicated to the commercialization of our technology,” said Dmitry Kalinin.
