The long-term investment project in the sphere of development of railway equipment in Belarus will be realized by LLC China National Electric Import & Export Corporation (CUEC) and LLC CRRC China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation. The grand opening of their joint company TSRRTS-KUEK Zheldortekhnika took place in Minsk on December 9.
The activity cost lines of this company are delivery, repair and maintenance of railway equipment. “We hope that the creation of a new company will promote strengthening of cooperation between the Belarusian and Chinese railway entities”,CEO of CRRC, China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation, Guo Shengchin noted. According to him, it is planned to invest 1 million US dollars in the work of the joint company.

Van Tszinsun, CEO of China National Electric Import & Export Corporation, emphasized that the creation of the joint company satisfies time-spirit and assumes specific prospects of cooperation for the companies from Belarus and China according to the concept “One belt — one way”. “We expect increase in number of joint projects on the territory of Belarus in the long term”, he stated.
According to Vladimir Morozov, head of the Belarusian Railway, the implementation of a similar project in Belarus means that Chinese companies are serious to solidify in Belarus.
The CUEC Company successfully has been implementing large-scale projects in the sphere of railway transport in Belarus for some time now. In particular, in 2010 CUEC and China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation signed the delivery contract for 12 electric locomotives of the BKG-1 series with the Belarusian Railway. In 2013, one more delivery contract of 18 units of railway vehicles of the BKG-2 series was signed. Guarantee and maintenance service of electric locomotives is provided with the Chinese specialists on the basis of Baranovichi locomotive depot.
During the event, LLC China National Electric Import & Export Corporation (CUEC), LLC CRRC China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation and the Belarusian Railway signed a cooperation agreement. Besides, the established TSRRTS-KUEK Zheldortekhnika Company signed a cooperation agreement with the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
