National Agency of Investment and Privatization has launched information portal for potential investors in Russian and English in order to promote through the Internet investment opportunities of Belarus.

In the core of the website investinbelarus.by/en/  is Belarus investment proposals database.. It is distinguished by convenient search by criteria such as sector of industry, region, volume of investments, payback period and form of participation of foreign capital.

Database is updated as data becomes available from ministries, state corporations, local authorities and interested Belarusian companies. At the moment the website consists of 50 investment proposals selected by the availability level. Agency prepared teasers, which represent a brief of investment proposal, market analysis, competitive advantages, and other information which can be necessary to make an investment decision.

In addition, on the website  investinbelarus.by/en/ potential investors get an idea of the investment climate and the benefits of investing in Belarus, learn how to start a business in Belarus, about the guarantees and preferences which they can rely on.

Separately conditions for investment in priority sectors and advantages of various Belarusian regions to create enterprises with foreign capital have been presented.

One section of the website is devoted to Agency’s  activities for improvement of  the efficiency of privatization process in Belarus. Currently Agency implements the pilot privatization  project searching strategic investors for 8 enterprises. The pilot project is supported by the World Bank. The website provides information about  progress of the project, privatized enterprises, used advanced technologies of privatization, so far providing transparency of privatization process.

Website   investinbelarus.by/en/ is created with the assistance of the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation.

Since the launch in a test mode on July 25, 2012 there were more than 4 000 visits (2 000 of unique users) from 60 countries.
