The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) was created in 1995. It was established as an Association under Swiss law. It has been registered in Geneva, as a non-governmental organization. From its very inception, WAIPA has represented an ever growing number of Member agencies. Through its wide range of activities, WAIPA provides the opportunity for investment promotion agencies (IPAs) to network and exchange best practices in investment promotion. WAIPA has always dedicated, and continues to dedicate, time and effort towards building the human resources capacity of its Member agencies. Training events have been organized by WAIPA, alone or in coordination with partner organizations. Membership is open to any agency, government body or entity whose prime function is “to promote any country, political sub-division of a country or other uncontested territory, as a destination for, or as source of investments”.

The textile industry is estimated as the largest in terms of output in the light industry. The segment cooperate the production of all types of fabrics, knitwear, felting and other products. Knitting industry is focused on the production of knitwear, stockinet, hosiery and other products. Knitwear of such Belarusian brands as “Polesye”, “Alesya”, “8 Marta”, “Svitanak” is widely known.

The sewing industry of light industry includes about 170 manufactures. The main activity of these enterprises is the tailoring of costumes and outerwear, children's clothing items, underwear, hats and fur products. The largest garment factories in Belarus have a “portfolio” of export brands that are exported within the CIS, as well as to the UK, Denmark, Poland, USA, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic.

CNR Food Istanbul - Food and Beverage Products, Food Processing Technologies Fair, scheduled for September 01-04, 2021, gave a warm welcome to 47.513 industry professionals at Istanbul Expo Center. Uniting more than 2.000 brands from 20 countries with domestic and international buyers, CNR Food Istanbul preserved its solid position in the food sector this year.

The exhibiting companies, which placed orders with large sums via business relations they cultivated at the exhibition, gathered together with all the industry professionals, ranging from wholesalers to super-hyper-gross markets, food factories, and canteen operators.
