World-class experts discussing investment policy reform in Minsk

This week world-class experts representing 18 countries with economies in transition have gathered in Minsk to discuss investment policy reformation.

According to a report by the United Nations, the share of foreign direct investments in the world decreased by 16 percent last year. In June, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development proposed important reformation steps. Possibilities of abandoning the old investment model have been discussed in Minsk.

Last year, Belarus attracted over 15 billion dollars of foreign investment. Just like in previous years, Russia accounts for more than half of the investments, followed by the United Kingdom and Cyprus. The most attractive areas for foreign capital are transportation, trade and industry.
