The National Agency of Investment and Privatization is ready to propose projects to those interested in the development of logistics services. The geographical position of Belarus is its undeniable advantage, which should be actively used, experts say.
“We are a transit country – the roads, that pass from Europe to Russia, from the Baltic to the Black Sea go through Belarus, that is why Belarus could become a partner for foreign logistics hub”, noted Natalia Nikandrova, director of NAIP.

The most attractive regions of the country for the construction of logistics centers are Minsk region (outside Minsk Automobile Ring Road, near II and IX Tran-European transport corridors) and Brest region (border with Poland).
The NAIP base of investment projects has a number of proposals in the field of logistics. For example, the construction of a transport and logistics center in the area of border crossing Kozlovichi proposed for the implementation to the company JV BelProfiTrans. The land plot for the project is located in Brest FEZ with the most favorable terms of economic activities, including in terms of preferential taxation and the possibility of using a special customs regime for goods used for the implementation of the construction project.
“Our company over the past few years has successfully implemented the project of construction of administrative and logistics center in Privolny village Minsk region (at the intersection of the highways M1 / E30 (Berlin-Moscow) and M4 / M5 (Minsk-Mogilev / Gomel), so we can responsibly talk about the high level of demand for such objects in Belarus,” said director of A-Modulstroy, co-founder of JV BelProfiTrans Yurij Zhdanovich. “In the near future we are going to begin the construction of a similar complex in Minsk region in the immediate vicinity of the M1 motorway. The facility is located just 1 kilometer from the main border crossing point on the western boundary of the Eurasian Economic Community — Kozlovichi directly on the M1.”
In addition, there is a railway line along the western border of the TLC, which makes it possible to organize the shipment and storage of railway containers and implement multimodal transportation. The concept of the complex assumes its full self-sufficiency, because in addition to the storage space office and hotel complex, catering, service stations, gas stations, customs control zone are to be arranged on its territory. Today there are no such objects in Belarus. All these factors make it possible to organize the logistics of cargo traffic between Europe and the CIS countries with minimal losses, ensure the full coordination and cooperation of road and rail traffic flows, transship cargo to the countries of Eurasian Economic Community in transit through the territory of the EAEU, concentrate the implementation of the necessary customs procedures. The presence of warehouses, providing a full range of service and logistics services will be attractive to customers,” said Yurij Zhdanovich.
Another interesting investment projects in the field of logistics proposed by NAIP is the creation of production and logistics center IPL Park Orsha, the center of which is located at the intersection of both 2-European transport corridors № II West-East and № IX North-South (international motorway M1 / E30 and M8 / E95) and in the area of the New Silk Road.
“This center is planned as a multi-modal one, as in the vicinity of the sites there are working railways, highways, airports Orsha and Vitebsk. This is the only logistics complex in Belarus, located near the Russian border — just 40 kilometers away, as well as in close proximity to the major economic centers of Europe. Storage terminals are to be built on its territory, as well as industrial buildings and points of customs clearance, and a multifunctional logistics 3PL operator. On the basis of the park functioning of the center of international postal exchange will be arranged, as well as the center for maintenance of traffic online retailers, the center for the promotion of Belarusian goods through the global Internet site, and the creation of new industries most sought among online consumers of goods, said director of IPL complex Arseniy Sadovoj. — I am sure that the construction and development of a unique multi-format platform uniting favorable conditions for the production of goods and logistics services can ensure profitability for the investor with minimum levels of risk ”, said Arseniy Sadovoj.
