The group of companies Dana Holdings has launched the fourth stage of the project to build the multifunctional residential compound Mayak Minska (“Minsk Lighthouse”). A capsule was laid in the foundation of the new house named Goya to celebrate the event.

The ceremony was attended by Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali, Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Belgrade, a member of the Serbian parliament, head of the Serbia-Belarus parliamentary friendship group Dragomir Karic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Belarus Veljko Kovacevic, and senior executives of the group of companies Dana Holdings, the developer of the multifunctional compound Minsk Lighthouse.
“Today we are laying a capsule in the foundation of residential buildings that make part of the multifunctional residential compound Minsk Lighthouse with the total area of 1 million square meters. Minsk Lighthouse is an innovative project for Belarus. It represents the city-within-city concept,” Sinisa Mali noted.

He pointed out that the project is being implemented by a company of Dana Holdings that founded the first joint Yugoslav-Soviet private company in Moscow back in the 1980s. Over the years, the holding company has already developed 5 million square meters of administrative and residential buildings. At present, Dana Holdings is busy developing another 5 million square meters of real estate in Eastern Europe.
“I am happy that such large-scale joint Belarus-Serbia projects are being implemented in Minsk. Such projects attest to the brotherly relations between our countries,” Sinisa Mali emphasized. The successful implementation of these projects will provide opportunities for future generations and will become part of their heritage, he added.
For his part, Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets praised Serbia's contribution to the Belarusian construction market. “The large-scale project currently implemented by the Serbian real estate development company is important for Minsk and its residents. I would like to thank everyone involved in it,” Andrei Shorets said.

He noted that Minsk and Belgrade have plans to carry out several other serious projects, thus the cooperation between the cities will continue. “Minsk will get new real estate products, new jobs, and the company will be growing. I hope that Belgrade authorities will help us with this,” Andrei Shorets said.
The multifunctional residential compound Minsk Lighthouse is scheduled for commissioning in 2017. Its design is based on the city-within-city concept. The infrastructure of the complex includes the region's biggest trade and entertainment facility Dana Mall with the total area of 200,000 square meters. Lighthouse of Minsk became the first project in Belarus to win international prizes. It was recognized best multifunctional compound in Eastern Europe and has received European Property Awards, World Finance Awards and Golden Jaguar.
