On December 3, NAIP held a meeting with foreign companies planning to produce raw material for biodegradable packaging in Belarus.

The foreign side was represented by Italian "ARS Ambiente Srl", "Novamont", and Norwegian "BioBag International AS". The companies are interested in implementing pilot project of separate collection and further processing of food waste in Slonim, Grodno region. The project is considered to be implemented in partnership with Belarusian "Logopolymer" and "Kinglet" gorup of companies. After the pilot project is implemented, further production of raw material for biodegradable packaging is planned. 



NAIP is ready to accompany that investment project. It wad joined by  the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus, Operator of Secondary natural Resources, Belgospishcheprom concern, "Great Stone" Industrial Park. Belarusian side confirmed its readiness to assist in project implementation.

'ARS ambiente" works mainly in Italy as a consultancy giving support in technical, planning, legislation issues to both private companies involved in waste management and recovery and public bodies for institutional and lawmaking activities.
