The group on stimulation of business activity, which worked in Belarus for the past few months, presented the most relevant innovations for public discussion. All offers can be found on the National Legal Internet Portal. The draft document provides that for starting business it will only be necessary to notify the local authorities.

“What is important is that no one will interfere in the work, economic activity, and the entrepreneur will be engaged in the business,” said Sergei Novitsky, Deputy Chairman of the Council for the Development of Entrepreneurship. “The entrepreneur will not be distracted by all sorts of checks, permits, approvals, etc. These procedures will be greatly minimized.”

All current fire or sanitary standards are to be canceled. The minimum requirements for entrepreneurs will be approved additionally by the head of state.

“This package provides for a document on the regulation of control and supervision activities, which also provides for a reduction in the number of inspections. In particular, it is stipulated that scheduled inspections will be canceled altogether. Only checks will remain unplanned and only for strictly certain reasons, in order to prevent businesspeople from inspections on false grounds,” said Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valery Mitskevich.

He also noted that there will be an institute of tax advisers – an intermediary between the tax service and business, which will be responsible for completing the payment of taxes, their correctness and relieve the businesspeople from the need to delve into the subtleties of taxation.

The working group summarized about 200 proposals to stimulate business activity. And now the group expects an active discussion of the proposed innovations on the part of all interested – both business and citizens.
