More than 30 Chinese companies and investors participated in an investment forum organized in Hong Kong by NAIP and the Great Eastern Europe Business Alliance, with the support of the Consulate General of Belarus in Hong Kong.
The forum, titled "Emerging Europe: Belarus Forthcoming Investment Prospective" was organized for Hong Kong companies considering the Eastern European region in their investment plans. The event aimed to highlight Belarus's potential as a competitive business platform. Among the business ideas discussed by participants were cutting-edge trends such as urban resilience, low-altitude economics, and others.
Aleksey Pushkarev, First Deputy Director of NAIP, delivered a presentation on Belarus business climate. Both the Great Stone's administration and the Industrial Park Development Company provided more detailed information on the conditions for doing business within the park.
"Competition and competitiveness are topics well understood by our audience. Hong Kong is the headquarters or primary market for many successful companies, all of whom operate in a highly competitive environment. We invited them to apply their proven business ideas to Belarus, where we offer opportunities and preferencies, and where competition is not yet as intense," noted Alexey Pushkarev.
Following the forum, the NAIP team held a series of substantive talks with potential investors interested in the prospects in Belarus.
The event was specifically timed to coincide with the Asian Financial Forum, where NAIP showcased our country's potential at the Global Investment Zone.
During the visit to Hong Kong, the NAIP team also held talks with colleagues from Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) and the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES).
During the talks, the colleagues exchanged experiences in attracting investment and agreed on the terms of joint events aimed at promoting Belarus in Hong Kong.
