The most important issues of the economy and cooperation between the European Union, Poland and Eastern Europe these days are being discussed in Bialystok. The second edition of the largest business event is held on 24–25 September 2015 in Białystok.

The first Eastern Economic Congress proved that the debate on the future of the macro-region of Eastern Poland were very necessary, — said the organizer of the event, President of the PTWP Vojtech Kuśpik. — The results of two-day talks, the changes in the political life, the emergence of new factors affecting the economic situation — all this made us to continue the project.
The program consists of 30 sessions. The organizers have hosted over a thousand guests from Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine and other European countries – politicians, economists, representatives of enterprises, experts and scientists.
We attach two complementary values to Eastern questions. On the one hand, the word East for us means Eastern Poland along with its characteristics, problems and potential for development. But on the other hand, it is the political and economic relations between the European Union, Poland and Eastern Europe, - emphasized Wojciech Kuśpik.
Among the key topics discussing by invited experts are the problem of geopolitical conditions for economic development in Eastern Europe, security issues, international and cross-border cooperation and the importance of infrastructure investments and etc. The participants of the Congress focused on the analysis of the important areas of the economy, such as energy, agro-food market, medical services, trade, tourism and hotel business.

With regard to the cooperation of the Belarusian and Polish business, the potential here is rather tangible, considers Head of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization Natalia Nikandrava.
Belarus and Poland are neighbors. We have a common historical and cultural heritage, it is not surprising that the Polish and Belarusian businessmen are interested in the partnership, — noted the Head of the Agency. — In turn, the Government of Belarus protects foreign investment, provides preferential conditions for business to potential investors. We are ready to be a reliable partner , — she said.
One of the new investment projects implemented by the Polish businessmen was the construction of the shopping center in Grodno. In April, Belarusian company Trinity Invest and the Polish Uniber SA have signed a contract for 264 million zlotys (more than 70 million dollars). Also in June, a Polish company Promar has launched an investment project of 30 million euros. It is a modern plant for the production of smoked products at the Grodno meat-packing plant.
