The implementation of joint projects between Belarus and Gansu Province (PRC) was discussed during the meeting by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin with Head of the Representative Office of Gansu Foreign Trade Society in Belarus, Din Zhujun.
During the meeting, it was noted that Gansu province most successfully implements the agreements reached between the Republic of Belarus and the provinces of China. The high significance and effectiveness of cooperation of Gansuy Province in Grodno region was especially noted.
Within the framework of the meeting, the key joint projects of the province with Belarus in the years 2017-2020 were discussed, including cooperation in hotel and restaurant business and tourism, projects for the training of construction industry personnel, the creation of a logistics center, and the opening of traditional Chinese medicine centers.
The restaurant of Chinese cuisine Vostochny in Minsk (investments of 800 thousand US dollars) has already been put into operation, and the center of traditional Chinese medicine in Grodno has been created.
The construction is underway with the commissioning of a number of facilities in 2018 - 2019. For example, the construction of a multifunctional complex by CGICOP, a subsidiary of the CGICOP corporation, SIGICOK-Bel LLC, in which the Belarusian headquarters of the corporation will be located (investments of 30 million US dollars); construction of an integrated logistics center in Grodno ($ 8 million investment); participation of SIGICOP-Bel LLC in the joint construction of rental housing, the opening of traditional Chinese medicine centers in all regions of Belarus starting from Brest, Vitebsk regions and Minsk.
The project on reconstruction of Grodno hotel is being implemented ($ 15 million investment). This project is planned to be completed in 2020.
In 2017, the Memorandum between SIGICOP-Bel LLC and the Administration of the Sino-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone was signed to join the Industrial Park as a resident.
The issues that the Chinese side faces when implementing projects were considered and proposals for the development of relations between the Republic of Belarus and the province of Gansu in 2018 were submitted.
