FLLC Eastern Sheep is going to become the first Belarusian retailer of stud ram and highly productive ile de France sheep. In 2016 the company finished the realization of the investment project on building of a sheep unit in Lagoisk district, Minsk oblast.
«We’ve achieved the pedigree enterprise status and that allows us to sell ile de France sheep with pedigree documents. We can trace our sheep lineage up to the forth generation. Thus, we can set prices higher than upon sale for meat,» told us Anna Valiun, head of FLLC Eastern Sheep animal unit.

The company purchased the animals in France and Hungary for building its own flocks. The offspring will fill available livestock houses.
The company has more than 1.9 thousands ha of which 1 ha is designated for permanent grasses in purpose of fodder production. Also grain, corn, and rape are cultivated.
According to the sheep breeders, the interest in their products already exists. During the work the company has managed to establish cooperation with JSC Smilovichskaya felting factory for the processing of sheep's wool and manufacturing of consumer goods using this raw material.

The sheep union in Logoisk district, designed for the maintenance of 10 thsd. sheep was built as part of the implementation of the investment project of FLLC Eastern Ship. Now the population of the unit is more than 1 thousand. In the future, the company considers building a unit for meat processing, construction of a dairy farm for 1.2 thous. head, sheep milk processing and cheese-making. Br27 million have already been invested in the implementation of the project. Payback is planned by 2020.
