“We have recently been witnessing a special interest of Italy in our country. Over the past months, several Italian delegations have visited the country. The delegations included companies seeking to open businesses in agriculture and foodstuffs production and in alternative energy. The projects they propose to implement in Belarus are really interesting”.
Over 150 Italian companies have operations in Belarus. “We expect an increase in Italian investments, in particular, following the opening of the Italian foundation of culture and development Foedus”.
Belarus created conditions for businesses to be a success, to make money and to re-invest profits into new operations. “We have qualified workforce and the necessary infrastructure”.
“When a company comes to another country, it can face some problems. A foreign country means a different mentality, language barriers, a different business culture. The National Agency of Investment and Privatization acts like a translator. Our employees speak Italian; we actively cooperate with government agencies and help investors implement their projects in our country. We hope that the opening of the foundation will give a new impetus to the Belarus-Italy relations”.
