On August, 19 Spanish woodworking company Losán registered its Belarusian legal entity named "KARELIA VENEERS" as a new resident of "Vitebsk" free economic zone. The company will implement investment project on producing veneer.

The output of a new plant, which is to be built in Vitebsk, is planned to be exported abroad. Foreign investor plans to create 82 new workplaces. Russia is to be the main source of raw material. 

Losán was established in 1964 as a small carpentry company in the Galician town of Curtis. Losán has grown continuously since its beginnings in the wood industry; its range of products and the personalised solutions in board and veneer melamine can now reach any location in the world. Apart from Spain, Losán produces in Romania, Chile, the Netherlands, the USA. The company employs more than 1,500 workers worldwide.

Registering new resident of "Vitebsk" FEZ is another NAIP's success story. The Agency accompanies this project since the spring of 2018. NAIP arranged a couple of visits to Belarus, including sightseeing of landplots, meetings with the administration of the free economic zone.
