On October 22-23, NAIP took part in annual OECD IPA Workshop and the Roundtable on Investment for Sustainable Development at the OECD Headquarters in Paris.

On the 22 October, the OECD IPA Workshop entailed a high-level plenary meeting with focused discussions on investment facilitation and aftercare, and FDI impacts on the host economy, and a peer-to-peer exchange on the topic of investment facilitation and aftercare.

As NAIP was represented by Denis Meleshkin, Deputy Head, and Darya Kolbasich, Head of Marketing and Communications, they had a chance to have conversations with colleagues from world IPAs and exchange experience in terms of attracting foreign investments.

On the 23 October, the Roundtable on Investment for Sustainable Development launched the first edition of the FDI Qualities Toolkit – which provides decision-makers with an actionable instrument to gauge the contribution of foreign direct investment to sustainable development. Roundtable participants exchanged perspectives and conducted an evidence-based and forward-looking discussion.

The OECD IPA Network was launched in October 2016, following the first OECD workshop on investment promotion and facilitation. The Network meets at the OECD on a yearly basis to allow investment promotion agencies and policymakers to benefit from OECD research on investment promotion and facilitation, share their experience on topics of common interest and exchange on good practices.
