The National Infrastructure Strategy will be developed in Belarus. It is provided be the Council of Ministers as of August 4, 2016 No.611 “On introducing amendments and additions to some Decrees of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.”

The National Agency of Investment and Privatization will perform the draft of the strategy. The Ministry of Economy will coordinate the project.
The strategy is a long-term planning document that defines the priority of projects for the development of infrastructure to ensure optimal compliance with state requirements for rational use of public funds.
When developing the document, experts will assess the needs of the state in infrastructure facilities in conjunction with the National Sustainable Development Strategy, as well as state programs, assessment of the costs and benefits, risk sharing for effective decision-making when choosing project implementation arrangement for the development of infrastructure projects. There will also be taken into consideration and the possible impact on the development of infrastructure measures on the environment.
The draft strategy will be submitted for consideration and approval to the Interagency Infrastructure Coordinating Council.
