On 18-20 September 3-day advanced training on PPP for public officers and municipalities took place in Minsk. The training was supported by the joint program of the EU and Belarus to support private sector development.
The World Bank, "Transproekt Group" company (Russia), NAIP and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus were the initiators of the event.
Practical focus of the event let the participants ask all questions regarding PPP implementation in belarus and foreign countries, helped to study best foreign practices in the sphere. Each participant took part in the business game on PPP development.
After 3 days of the event the participants learned practical spects of designing and implementation of PPP projects, such as conceptualization, specifics of the designing PPP projects in infrastructure, practical aspects of feasibility study designing, financial issus, risks allocation, and tender procedure.
At the event both successful and unsuccessful examples of PPP projects implementation were discussed.
All the participants successfully passed final tests after the training. Ms. Elena Perminova, Deputy Minister of Economy, surrended certificates of achievement.
