A business seminar of representatives of one of the world’s largest IT-companies EMC Corporation (US) for health professionals of Belarus took place in the Belarusian capital. The seminar was organized by the National Agency of Investment and Privatization.

EMC Corporation submitted a report on current health trends, global trends in e-health, ways to improve the efficiency of the system, as well as proposals for optimization of e-health system in Belarus. Vice-President of EMC Corporation Michael Graetz expressed the company’s readiness to participate in projects of public-private partnership.
“Given the fact that for the last year the development of information technology in Belarus has exceeded the worldwide average level in 10 times, we should not be away from the latest global trends. We should make active use of information technology and potential of Belarusian specialists to implement all the latest developments in the health sector”, — said Natalia Nikandrova, director of the Agency.

According to Igor Kobzev, a member of the working group on the image under the Consultative Council on Foreign Investment under the Council of Ministers of Belarus, Belarus is trying to bring into the country major players from different segments of the economy that offer modern, innovative product and want to work in our country. Therefore, today's meeting with representatives of the world's largest IT company EMC is an excellent opportunity to consider the prospects of PPP.
