Belarus is ready to work with Stadler Rail Group and implement its new proposals. Stadler plans to expand production in the country and fulfill there as many orders as possible.

“We have expressed our own initiative and some orders that were supposed to Western European countries we have removed here. This order concerns the Norwegian State Railways roads,” said CEO of Stadler Rail Group Peter Shpuler. “It shows our determination to continue to work in Belarus. All the products that we do here are absolutely Belarusian products. Now for the plant in Fanipol there is a new order: in Saint Petersburg, we have won in a tender for the supply of trams.”
It is planned that in the future all the orders received by the Stadler Rail Group from the CIS countries will be carried out in Belarus. Also, the company has experience in equipping trains of subways in Berlin and Glasgow. There is a proposal concerning the Minsk subway. At the same time continuing cooperation with the Belarusian Railways — 16 trains already run on steel rails. Shpuler plans to create a viewing platform in Belarus, where customers from all over the former Soviet Union will come.

Stadler Director General noted that in 2015, the company faced certain difficulties — Aeroexpress gave up part of its order due to its inability to pay. “We were forced to stretch those production processes that were in progress to find other financing. Today, the problem has been almost solved,” he pointed out
Peter Shpuler adds that his company is committed to working in Belarus. The plant will continue to cooperate with Belkommunmash, purchasing components for the production, and may be develop partnership with other Belarusian companies. In particular, the possibility of cooperation with Mogilev Strommashina is being studied.
