The business delegation of the Campania region of Italy is in Minsk on 3-6 April to study investment opportunities of Belarus. The Belarus-Italy Investment Forum has been held at the NAIP as part of the visit on 4th April. The forum is co-organized by the Agency and Minsk Metropolitan Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers.
The event is organized in the format of mini-forum, most suited for the report of useful information to potential foreign investors and the necessary contacts, -said the director of the National Agency for Investment and Privatization Klevzhits D. — This format requires a clear definition of the target audiences in the process of attracting investments and, therefore, verified participation. It is an advanced world practice. We intend to hold similar mini-forums not only in Belarus, but also abroad.
The Belarusian-Italian investment forum was attended by the government representatives, Italian Embassy in Minsk, and the representatives of Italian business, banking and consulting companies. The business delegations visiting Minsk these days include entrepreneurs from sectors of the Italian economy such as metalworking, construction, food processing, consumer goods manufacturing, etc.
Dmitry Klevzhits made a presentation on investment opportunities in Belarus. Representatives of the Italian company Intertrade and Bank popolare di Vicenza (Banca Popolare di Vicenza), promoting Italian investments abroad, spoke about the services that they can provide to companies-investors. Final word was given to assessors from the Campania region's economy Fulvio Martuchello (Fulvio Martusciello).
The National Agency of Investment and Privatization, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Salerno province (14,000 member companies) and the company Intertrade signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding at the forum. The parties agreed to establish strategic partnership, as well as share information, organize visits and meetings to promote Italian investments in Belarus.
Meetings in the B2B format (business-to-business) are scheduled for 5 April. Taking part in the meetings will be the Italian delegation and businessmen from Belarus.
