The first meeting of the working group on improving the provision with well-qualified personnel took place on February 22, 2016 at the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus under the Foreign Investment Advisory Council chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Education.

The Foreign Investment Advisory Council under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus (FIAC) was established in order to enhance the effectiveness of efforts on attracting foreign investment in the country’s economy and improve the investment environment of the Republic of Belarus.
The draft work plan of the working group for 2016 was considered within the meeting, including the following topical issues:
- interaction of foreign investors with the educational system of the Republic of Belarus and ways to improve this interaction;
- meeting the personnel needs of foreign investors;
- improvement the professional training of professional and teaching staff of educational institutions; involvement of foreign teachers in the educational process.
During the meeting the Co-Chairman from the foreign members of the group was elected – Wladimir Augustinski, head of the representative office of the German economy in Belarus.
