The National Agency of Investment and Privatisation Agency and Daeryook & Aju International Law Firm signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul on 16 March. The parties agreed to hold consultations and exchange information to study the possibilities of attracting foreign direct investments to Belarus.

Daeryook & Aju is one of the ten largest legal companies in South Korea. One of the priorities is legal support of foreign expansion of Korean business. The company's experts have significant experience of deals with participation of the Korean capital to establish joint ventures, power engineering projects, project financing. Besides the central office in Seoul, Daeryook & Aju has its representative offices in the European Union, China, Russia, and the USA.

The memorandum of understanding was signed during the business forum Korea-CIS dedicated to the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Commonwealth countries. Over 200 representatives of Korean companies took part in the event. The visit of the Director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatisation Agency Dmitriy Klevzhits to Seoul was organised with assistance of the MFA of Belarus. He presented investment opportunities of the country at the event as well as held negotiations with the Deputy Minister of Intellectual Economy of the Republic of Korea Mun Je Do, Vice-President of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) O Song Gyn and a number of businesspersons of that country. Prospects of investment co-operation of Belarus with Korean companies in such fields as transportation infrastructure, petrochemical industry, engineering, pharmaceutics, and medical industry were discussed.
