The registration of participants and the media at the official website of the VII Belarusian Investment Forum investforum.by has been started. The event will be held in Minsk on November 15 -16 this year with the participation of the Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.
It is expected that this year the VII Belarusian Investment Forum will be visited by 500 participants. Most of them will represent large foreign companies, financial institutions and international organizations. It is also expected that Belarusian and foreign media will take part in the event.
The forum will present complete and reliable information about the investment potential of the country, including the opportunities offered by the Common Economic Space. Potential investors will also be provided with the investment projects and attractive objects for privatization.
Previously such events were held in the major financial capitals of the world (London, Frankfurt-am-Main). This time the event will take place in Minsk and will be held in the new format. The aim is not only to present the advantages of Belarus, but also to study carefully and take into account the wishes of potential investors in the Belarusian market. For this purpose round table is the main format with an independent moderator selected from the respected international experts.
Under the auspices of the Forum multiple platforms for dialogue between representatives of governments, national business and foreign investors will be organized. In addition to the plenary session, where the ways to multiply the investment potential of Belarus will be discussed, the forum programme includes a number of panel discussions of the prospects of high-tech industries in Belarus; reserves for cooperation with foreign investment funds; the potential of the Belarusian regions to attract investment.
For the first time at the VII Belarusian Investment Forum a competition of startup projects will be held. On November 15 Startup Day will be represented to potential investors by 15 most promising innovation projects start-ups. And for the first time Belarusian startups will be able to win a government grant in the amount of 300 million BYR. In this case, the grant is not the prize, but investment in promising innovative business. Thus, the government is setting an example to other investors. We will see a public-private partnership in action, — said the director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization Dmitry Klevzhits.
А range of other events within the forum is planned: the meeting of the Foreign Investment Advisory Council, Minsk Investment Day, etc.
