Twenty-three investment projects will be introduced to the audience of the exhibition-fair to be held on November 16, 2012 within the framework of the VII Belarusian Investment Forum. All of them are in line with the major themes of the forum including innovation economics (pharmaceutics, new materials, alternative energy), agriculture, food industry and machine building.

The projects are to be presented to foreign investors in a unified format developed by the National Agency of Investment and Privatization with participation of the ‘big four’ world consulting companies.

“The new format has been designed in line with investors’ requirements to the content of investment proposals. We should speak to foreign businesses the language they are used to,” says Dmitry Klevzhits, the agency director.

Regional executive committees, the Belarusian State Concern of Food Industry Belgospischeprom, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Energy, and the National Academy of Sciences are to present their investment projects.

The biggest investment project at the Forum is construction of a sugar mill able to process 12 tons of beetroot per day in Dyatlov district of Grodno region. Its cost is estimated at USD 330 million.

Among the most fast repaying projects submitted for participation at the Fair is launching a production of the vacutainer-type vacuum blood testing systems in Gomel-Raton free economic zone (the payback period is two years).

Two projects boast a three-year payback period: setting up a trout farm with the total capacity of 200 tons of fish at OJSC Alba in Nesvizh and the technology of cleaning technological water from organic contaminants using the microbiological substance EM1 Konkur.

The Ministry of Energy comes forward with nine projects – construction of Neman, Orsha, Shklov, Mogilev, and Rechitsa hydropower plants and four wind parks to be located in Liozno, Oshmyany, Novogrudok, and Smorgon regions.

Eight enterprises participating in the project of pilot privatization are to be in a special spotlight at the Fair. As is known, the National Agency of Investment and Privatization jointly with the World Bank is seeking strategic investors to ensure further development of those.

Information on the advertised projects is to be provided in a special guide that will be included in the VII Belarusian Investment Forum member information kit. The projects will be also entered into the Belarusian investment project database of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization.

The Fair is to be held on November the 16th from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at “Minsk Arena” sports complex, address: Pobediteley Ave., 111. Registered participants and media are welcome to attend the event.
